The 12.6-mile course begins at the Cog Railway Station (6,570 feet) in Manitou Springs, Colorado, ascends Pikes Peak’s historic Barr Trail to Barr Camp (10,200 feet) before turning, descending and finishing at the Barr Trailhead.
When my turn came to share, my mind rushed with possibilities. Geez, where do I start — there are so many? Some are well-known, others obscure. Some are paved, others are dirt road or rugged single track.
